Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade
The Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade enhanced capacity, safety and connectivity along one of the region's most important transport corridors, supporting the continued growth of surrounding residential, commercial and industrial areas.
Delivered in joint venture, the project involved duplicating 5.4 kilometres of the Bruce Highway between Yeppoon Road and north of Terranova Drive. The works responded to increasing traffic demands from the rapidly growing Parkhurst and Glenlee communities and included extensive utility relocations, major drainage infrastructure and improved active transport connections. Delivered within a live traffic environment, the upgrade improved network efficiency, strengthened corridor resilience and provided safer, more reliable connections for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

Project Scope
- Duplication of 5.4 km of the Bruce Highway to four lanes

- Construction of three new signalised intersections and a dual-lane roundabout at Sterling Drive
