Greenbank Park ‘n’ Ride

McIlwain delivered the Greenbank Park ‘n’ Ride, providing 600 new commuter parking spaces and supporting infrastructure to improve access to public transport for the growing Greenbank community. The upgrade enhanced commuter convenience while improving safety and traffic efficiency for motorists, pedestrians and public transport users.

The project included construction of a new 50-metre bus station, two kiss-and-ride shelters, bicycle connections, a Bus Driver Layover Facility and a noise barrier along the western residential boundary. Road widening works were undertaken on Anzac Avenue and Blackwell Street, together with the relocation and protection of critical public utility infrastructure. Careful planning and coordination were required to integrate the new transport facilities within the existing road network while maintaining community access and minimising disruption throughout construction.
