D’Aguilar Highway Wide Centreline Treatment
Upgrades along the D’Aguilar Highway west of Kilcoy improved safety and network performance through targeted road widening, intersection improvements and drainage enhancements.
Delivered for the Department of Transport and Main Roads, the project targeted a high-risk section of the highway to reduce the likelihood of head-on collisions and improve traffic flow. Works included widening a four-kilometre section of roadway, upgrading drainage and culverts, and extending road shoulders to enhance long-term resilience. Dedicated right-turn lanes were constructed at the Franks Lane and Bye Road intersections to improve access and reduce delays, while vegetation clearing, new signage, safety barriers and linemarking improved visibility and driver awareness. Together, these upgrades have enhanced safety and reliability for motorists travelling through the region.

Project Scope
